Prison Break has run it's course

Prison Break will end after this current season Fox has announced. The remaining episodes of this season will start to air in April.
It's still unclear whether FOX has greenlit the extra two hours that the producers wanted to totally wrap things up.

Michael Rapaport joins 'Prison Break'

Michael Rapaport has joined Fox's "Prison Break" as a regular.
On the 20th Century Fox TV-produced "Prison Break," Rapaport will play a government agent who has an interesting offer for Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his brother (Dominic Purcell). Production on the upcoming fourth season begins this month in Los Angeles.

Fox has extended "Prison Break's" sentence by another season.
Having seen its third season cut short by the writers strike, "Prison Break" will now be back for a fourth go-round. Fox has ordered as many as 23 episodes from 20th Century Fox TV, insiders said.

Nachdem Prison Break hierzulande keinen guten Start hingelegt hatte und RTL darauf mit Kürzung der zwei Folgen auf eine Folge am Donnerstagabend reagiert hat, läuft nun der Abend mit einer Folge ab 23:15 Uhr besser; mit sehr erfreuliche Quoten: In der werberelevanten Zielgruppe überzeugte bereits das zweite Mal in Folge ein Marktanteil über 19 Prozent. Im Durchschnitt schalteten etwa 1,8 Millionen Zuschauer ein.
Aus diesem Grund hat RTL nun angekündigt gleich im Anschluss der ersten Staffel die zweite Staffel zu zeigen. Starttermin ist der 4. Oktober um 23.15 Uhr.

RTL zieht die Notbremse: Nur noch eine Folge «Prison Break» ab Mitte August.
RTL schmeißt ab dem 9. August eine Folge aus dem Programm. Ersetzt wird die 22.15 Uhr-Episode von Wiederholungen der vierten Staffel von «CSI: Den Tätern auf der Spur», die bis zum 12. April dieses Jahres schon bei RTL liefen.
