His mother is Peruvian and his father is Scottish with some Irish ancestry. He was raised in Trinidad and Scotland.
He was trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama before joining the Glasgow Citizens Theatre. He has been one of the busiest actors in theatre in Great Britain, having performed with The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal National Theatre, 7:84 Theatre co., Citizens Theatre, and The Theatre Babel. He also appeared multiple times at the Edinburgh International Festival. |
