Emily Sanders is a successful young woman with terrific taste, great friends and a fabulous job in publishing. She didn't get to this place in life by accident. She worked hard and always followed a set of self-imposed guidelines referred to as the "Reasons." Reasons why not to take that new job offer, reasons why not to tell a vacation fling to look you up if he's ever in Los Angeles, reasons why not to trust your crafty, back-stabbing former assistant, Glitter Cho.
However, when Emily crosses professional lines and gets involved with the roguishly handsome, two-timing author of their new best seller, there's no denying somewhere along the way her internal GPS system has crashed. She's got to get back on track, and once again be heedful of the trustworthy reasons that help her navigate her way through life.

Although cancelled from the U.S; Emily's Reasons Why Not, aired in The UK, and proved succsesful. The UK Network, planned to pick the series up completly, and give it a full 22 episodes, but didn't want to risk loosing money. So only the 6 main episodes were aired.

There were six more episodes of Emily's Reasons Why Not but it was cancelled after the pilot.
Pilot is the only episode to air in the US.
The pilot episode only earned a ratings share of 4.4/6 - a considerably low performance over ABC's previous "Monday Night Football" lineup.

Trivia:
A steller five million dollars was spent on advertizing this show. ABC only advertized the pilot since no other episodes aired.
As the camera pans left while Emily is on the phone outing Stan on the company voicemail, it passes a hanging prism, sending a rainbow onto the camera.
Emily's shirt at the office was pink and said "Love" in red.
